You pick the bank.We do the paperwork.
Alasal Auto Group is not a lender and does not originate loans. Bring an approval from the bank or credit union you choose, and we handle everything on the dealer side.
Your loan. Your lender. Your rate.
Alasal Auto Group LLC is a licensed independent dealer. We are not a lender and not a broker, so the loan side of your purchase is entirely yours to arrange — with a bank, a credit union, or an online lender you choose and can compare.
That keeps the conversation on the price of the car rather than a monthly payment, which is the number that actually determines what you pay. We earn on the vehicle, once. Whatever rate your lender quotes you is the rate you get, because we have no part in setting it.
Come in with an approval and the dealer side is paperwork — the buyer’s order, the title, the registration, and the keys.
Four steps, start to keys
- 01
Get pre-approved
Call your bank or credit union and ask for a used-auto loan pre-approval. Most can do it the same day, and some do it entirely online. You will get a maximum amount and a rate, which turns car shopping into a simple yes-or-no question instead of a negotiation about payments.
- 02
Pick the car
See it in daylight, drive it, and take as long as you need. We will give you the VIN and stock number so you can run your own history report, and you are welcome to take any vehicle to an independent mechanic before you commit. We would rather you buy with confidence than buy today.
- 03
We work with your lender
Once you decide, we send your lender the buyer's order, the title information, and anything else their underwriting asks for, and we stay in contact with their funding department until it is done. They send the funds directly to us.
- 04
Close it out
We handle the title transfer and registration paperwork on the Texas side, hand you the keys, and you drive home.
What to bring with you
Having these in hand keeps the paperwork moving on the day you come in.
Valid driver's license
Must be current and unexpired.
Proof of insurance
Your lender will require coverage before you drive off.
Your pre-approval letter
From your bank or credit union, or the lender's contact and loan number.
Down payment
However your lender wants it structured — cash, card, or cashier's check.
Trade-in title, if trading
Plus the registration and any lienholder details.
Straight answers
Are you a lender?
No. Alasal Auto Group is a licensed independent dealer, not a lender and not a loan broker. We do not originate loans, we do not arrange them on your behalf, and we are not compensated by any lender. Your financing is an agreement between you and the bank or credit union you choose.
Why don't you offer financing yourselves?
It keeps our side of the deal simple. We make our money on the vehicle, once, and the loan stays where it belongs — between you and a lender whose rate you can compare against anyone else's.
What if I don't have a bank or my credit is rough?
Because we are not a lender or a broker, we are not able to match you with one or recommend where to apply — that would make us part of a transaction we deliberately stay out of. Many buyers start with a local credit union, and comparing a few offers yourself is worth the afternoon. Once you have an approval in hand, bring it to us and we will work with whoever issued it.
Can I pay cash?
Absolutely, and it is the simplest transaction there is. Bring a cashier's check or arrange a transfer and we will have you out quickly.
Do you accept outside pre-approvals from online lenders?
In many cases, yes. If the lender can send funds to a licensed Texas dealer and their process works with ours, we can move forward. Bring the approval details and we will tell you plainly whether we are able to work with that lender before you count on it.
Will you hold a car while my loan is processing?
It is handled case by case. Depending on the vehicle and the timing, a hold may require a signed buyer's order and a deposit, and we cannot guarantee one on every car. Call the sales line and we will tell you what is realistic for the car you are asking about.
